VFW March Meeting 2019

We had a visitor, James Head, who received an award.
The minutes were read and accepted.
The quarter master report was given by Scott Lybarger. It was accepted.
We undraped the charter.
Service Officer Report – Drivers needed for the van. We are getting a list of Veterans who need
transportation. We need a driver for April 10th. We are getting 25 -30 call per day at the service office.
Veterans Court – Just had graduation. There are 2 participates in the program now. Summer graduation will be in Aug.
Bluegrass Festival will be April 26 – 27. Details need to be nailed down at the next meeting.
Unfinished business – Agent Orange bill was passed. There was no opposition. Agent orange goes on for about 5 generations. Gary spoke about lead exposure. Gulf War burn pit exposure is also a problem.
New Business – 31st Run For The Wall will be in Dickson. Motion to Donate $200 to help feed the riders was
Motion passed to allow $900 to restock T-Shirts. Motion to buy a freezer wast tabled. We will use the small freezer for now.
Ken said he would let us know when the best time will be to sent gravel for the trailer parking area.
Good of the order - we got a streamer from national for being a 100% post. Thanks to Richard for helping us achieve this.
Jr. ROTC program doing good. It now has a booster club. Saturday May 18th there is an award ceremony at SHS. We pass a motion to donate $1500 for their Washington trip.
The District meeting is the 25th at ERHS.
